Rizwana Ashraf, MD is a resident physician in the Georgia South Psychiatry Residency Program at Colquitt Regional Health System. Inspired by early experiences supporting a sibling through medical care, Dr. Ashraf developed a deep appreciation for compassionate, empathetic healthcare and its impact on patients and families. She is drawn to psychiatry for its opportunity to build meaningful relationships, provide hands-on care, and help reduce the stigma surrounding mental health. Dr. Ashraf values Georgia South’s strong sense of community, supportive training environment, and commitment to serving rural populations, all of which align closely with her passion for service and patient-centered care.
