Prior to medical school, Dr. Badawy obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in human health sciences, also from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Monmouth University.

Wilson Baumgartner, MD

Psychiatry Resident - PGY-3

Wilson Baumgartner, MD is a resident physician in the Georgia South Psychiatry Residency Program at Colquitt Regional Health System. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Baumgartner earned his undergraduate degree from Berry College before completing medical school at the American University of the Caribbean. He was drawn to psychiatry for its focus on understanding human behavior and supporting patients during vulnerable moments. At Georgia South, he values the program’s strong mentorship, collaborative culture, and patient-centered approach and has a special interest in patient education and building meaningful therapeutic relationships.

Faith Hagler, MD

Originally from Northport, Alabama, Dr. Hagler earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama, completed a master’s degree in biomedical sciences at William Carey University, and received her medical degree from Trinity School of Medicine. She was drawn to psychiatry for its whole-person approach to care and its ability to bring hope to patients facing mental health challenges. Dr. Hagler chose Georgia South for its supportive training environment, strong mentorship, and shared commitment to expanding access to psychiatric care in rural communities.

Brandon Krout, MD

Originally from Vancouver, Washington, Dr. Krout earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Brigham Young University–Hawaii and completed medical school at St. Martinus University Faculty of Medicine. He was drawn to Georgia South for its welcoming culture, strong leadership, and commitment to psychiatry, and he values the program’s balance of hands-on experience, faculty mentorship, and resident autonomy. Dr. Krout enjoys the collaborative learning environment and the opportunity to care for a diverse range of patients while training in a close-knit community.
